He was accompanied by Don Gerardo Lorenzo. This trip helps to motivate the activity.<\/p>\n<p>  Vico was a pioneer: he had helped to create many Air Clubs in the Patagonia.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" height=\"390\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aeroclubushuaia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Alberto-Vico.jpg\" width=\"620\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">On<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">August 30, 1954<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">formally<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">met<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a group of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">aviation enthusiasts<\/span><span>, appointing<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a &#8220;temporary committee<\/span> to  <span class=\"hps\">represent the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">group of supporters<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the air activity<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and to work for the<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> immediate<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">organization<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the entity<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">&#8220;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">The first commission<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was formed<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">by<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Francisco<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">RESTOVIC<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">as President<\/span><span>; <\/span><span class=\"hps\">Vicente<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PADIN<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">as Secretary;<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">George<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Miles, as Treasurer<\/span><span>.<\/span> The Ushuaia  <span class=\"hps\">Airoclub<\/span> was founded<span>.<\/span> <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">On<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">September 5, 1954<\/span>, t<\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">he institution<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">legally established<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">In 1955<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the permission to operate in the local airfiel was processed<\/span><span>. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">On<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">January 24, 1958<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the legal status was obtained<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> the authorization<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">for the construction<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the first<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">hangar was recived.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">On<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">May 10, 1959<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was inaugurated<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Flight  <\/span><span class=\"hps\">School<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Training Center<\/span><span>with<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">only a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">three-seat<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>12<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>YDU<\/span>  <span class=\"hps\">Marti<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Lawrence<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and Thomas<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Goodall were injured<\/span><span>.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">In December<\/span>,  <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Civil<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aviation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Instructor<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Danie<\/span><span class=\"hps\">l<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Mini<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in command<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>18<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">LQ<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>ZJP<\/span>; arrived so as to start the courses.  <span class=\"hps\">This course<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">consisted of<\/span> the following  <span class=\"hps\">students:<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Bronzovic<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Jorge<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">andres<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">John<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Carlos<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Juncosa<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Domenc<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Oriole<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">his wife<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Mercedes<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Elizalde<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Carlos<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Herrera<\/span><span>.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">The<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">first<\/span>  &#8220;solo-flight&#8221;  <span class=\"hps\">was<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Jorge<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Bronsovic<\/span> (<span class=\"hps\">February 1960)<\/span><span>.<\/span>  <span class=\"hps\">Mercedes<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the first woman<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">pilot<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Tierra del<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Fuego<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">In late 1960<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">began the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">second year<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">courses<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">with six<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">students<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">among them<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Antonio<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Beros<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Miguel<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Pink<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Lucia<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Favale<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Emilio<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Szczepanski<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Tomislao<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Bronsovic<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and Jose<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Pastoriza<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>  On September 25, 1961, a Cessna Skywagon (LV-HSW) was purchased.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">The last course<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">(supported by<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the state),<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was in charge of Luis<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cuniberti<\/span>&nbsp;<span class=\"hps\">(1962)<\/span><span>. The course was made in  <\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a small<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">area<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">protected from winds called<\/span><span class=\"hps\">&#8220;Kutalateka&#8221;<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">near<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> <\/span><span class=\"hps\">Harberton<\/span><span> Ranch,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">where<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the winds are calm. Six more students became pilots.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">In 1963<\/span><span class=\"hps\">another aircraft was incorporated<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cessna 172<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration<\/span><span>LV-FNV<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">by this time the Airclub had 3 aircratf<\/span><span>, in addition to the<\/span> &nbsp;<span class=\"hps\"> <\/span><span class=\"hps\">Piper school-aircraft<\/span><span>.<\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">By 1964<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the population<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the south coast<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">from<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Ushuaia<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to Bahia<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aguirre<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">were attended<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">regularly by<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the services provided by<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aeroclub<\/span><span>,<\/span>  transporting  <span class=\"hps\">food, medicine<\/span><span>news<\/span><span>often with a <\/span><span class=\"hps\">considerable risk<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">due to the <\/span><span class=\"hps\">characteristics<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the terrain and weather conditions<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>  In 1965, the Flight School had it own instructor: Vladimir Bronzovic, who had obtained his instructor licence. On 1967, the Gouberment <span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">confided<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a twin-engine<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aztec to the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aeroclub<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">with room for two<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">crew and four<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">passengers. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">This aircraft was<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> symbol<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the prestige<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the institution<\/span><\/span><span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span>.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">That same year the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cessna 172<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">landed in<\/span> Rock Port<span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">United States Island<\/span><span>: it was the first<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">aircraft<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">that landed<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">there<\/span>.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">In October<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">1968 <\/span><span class=\"hps\">another<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>-12<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was bought (registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>YHN<\/span><span>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">By <\/span><span class=\"hps\">1971,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the increase of tourism<\/span><span> activity,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">led to<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">new<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">activity<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">resulting in<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">an important source<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of resources for the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">club: sightseen flight, a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">half hour<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">circuit was designed<\/span>.  <span class=\"hps\">This<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">year<\/span> th Cessna 185  <span class=\"hps\">was replaced<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">by a <\/span><span class=\"hps\">Cessna 206<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>INX<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">more<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">suitable for<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the weather conditions<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the area<\/span><span>.<\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">In 1973<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">two other aircraft<\/span><span>  were incorporated, a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Chrokee<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">140<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>LCF<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cessna<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">206,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">six-seat<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>JGL<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">In 1974 <\/span><span class=\"hps\">the first<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">aeronautical festival was celebrated,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">commemorating 20 years<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of the institution and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the 15<\/span> years of the Flight <span class=\"hps\">School<\/span><span>.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">At that time<\/span><span>.<\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">In 1978, a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span> PA32-300<\/span><span>, was included,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration<\/span><span> LV-MEN<\/span>. I<span class=\"hps\">n 1981  <\/span><span class=\"hps\">to Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>28-181<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Archer<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">II<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>OOD<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Lance<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>32<\/span><span class=\"atn\">-300<\/span><span>RT<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">with<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">retractable landing gear<\/span>  (<span class=\"hps\">registration<\/span> <span class=\"hps atn\">LV-<\/span><span>MLY) were incorporated too<\/span><span>.<\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">During 1984<\/span>, <span class=\"hps\">the main hangar<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was built,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">with<\/span><span class=\"hps\">625m2<\/span>. In<span class=\"hps\"> 1985<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">was<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">named<\/span> <span class=\"hps atn\">&#8220;<\/span><span>Pilot<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Mario<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Marconcini<\/span><span>&#8220;<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">who was an <\/span><span class=\"hps\">aviation pioneer<\/span> in Tierra del Fuego<span class=\"hps\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"long_text\" id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">In 1986 a<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">twin-engine<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cessna 310<\/span><span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration<\/span> <span class=\"hps atn\">LV-<\/span><span>LSH<\/span><span>  was bought. A worckshop<\/span>The house<span>, storage<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">room<\/span> <span>,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">bathroom<\/span>, and pilot office were built.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">In 1994<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">another aircraft<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Piper<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Cherokee<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">PA<\/span><span>-28<\/span><span>-140,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">registration LV<\/span><span class=\"atn\">&#8211;<\/span><span>LZF<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">for school was bought.<\/span><br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t<span class=\"hps\">In 1997<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aeroclub<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">faced a<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> difficult<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">situation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of having to<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">dismantle<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">move their<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">valuable<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">facilities (located at<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Naval<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Base<\/span>) due to <span class=\"hps\"> the<\/span> Navy  <span class=\"hps\">project<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to build<\/span> an  <span class=\"hps\">integrated<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">base there<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"hps\">The history of the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Aeroclub<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Ushuaia<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">daily<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">builds<\/span><span>.<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">We,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the members and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">managers<\/span><span>, have the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">firm<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">intention<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">never end<\/span><span> it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AIR CLUB HISTORY On June 16, 1949 arrived to Ushuaia City a Piper PA12 (LV-YDZ), that was commanded by the inspector Alberto Vico, member of the Civil Aviation National Direction.
