Facilities

Classroom

A vital part of the Aeroclub Ushuaia Flying School is the classroom. This is where the theoretical classes are given to the student pilots.

It has a capacity for 10 students and has, among other things, lighting, heating, high definition projector, television, DVD player, blackboard, group work table, cartography, demonstration elements (aviation engine parts, models, etc.), as well as a wide and varied aeronautical library.

In addition to the theoretical classes corresponding to the Private Pilot course, periodically our Flight Instructors give open theoretical classes on different topics: flight regulations, air spaces, meteorology, air navigation, flight between mountains, among others.

The classroom has an excellent view of the Aeroclub’s apron, as well as the airfield runway.

Hangar

Aeroclub Ushuaia has a heated and lighted hangar in its facilities to keep the aircraft protected from the outside weather. The hangar has a 30-meter front, 20-meter side and 5-meter height. The hangar floor is concrete. The approximate capacity is 9 aircraft.

In case you need hangarage for your aircraft in transit, do not hesitate to contact us.

Quincho

The Aeroclub Ushuaia has in its facilities one of the best barbecues in the city of Ushuaia. Located at Pasarela Luis Pedro Fique 151, our barbecue area has large windows that guarantee the best views of the city, the Andes Mountain Range and if you like airplanes, also of the runway of the old airport of Ushuaia, current headquarters of the Aeroclub.

The quincho has a large kitchen, which is integrated with the rest of the living room and has an interior grill, gas oven, running water, wooden cutting boards, large countertops, a refrigerator and a large frezzer. It is also equipped with separate bathrooms for men and women.

The tables are easily removable and the chairs are stackable in order to customize the room depending on the type of event you wish to hold. Crockery (plates, glasses and cutlery) is included in the rent.

The quincho has a large garden so that your event is not limited to the walls of the hall. It also has a large outdoor lighted parking lot.

In compliance with safety standards, the quincho has fire extinguishers and two emergency exits, in addition to the main access. Both exits are clearly marked with signs.

Pilots' Lounge

The Pilots’ Lounge is the epicenter of Aeroclub Ushuaia. It is here where the members of our Aeroclub meet every day, and where we receive other pilots or aeronautics lovers who visit us.

The Pilots’ Lounge is divided into two parts: on the one hand, the rest area, equipped with armchairs and tables. On the other hand, there is the operational part: here there are three workstations with internet connection, cable TV, aeronautical radio station, full kitchen, table and chairs, and finally a large library with aeronautical material.

Whether you want to plan a flight (study the route, analyze the weather, etc.), or simply spend an afternoon among colleagues, the Pilots’ Lounge is the right place in our Aeroclub.
